About My Digital Nanny

Built by a parent, for parents. Protecting children without compromising their privacy.

Our Mission

Give every parent peace of mind — without spying on their child

My Digital Nanny exists to protect children from the harmful audio content that streams freely through YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms — while respecting their privacy, dignity, and the trust that comes with growing up.

🔒

Privacy First

No audio ever leaves the device. No accounts, no cloud recordings. Your family's conversations are yours alone.

👁️

Transparency

Children know they're being monitored. We believe in open, honest relationships between parents and children — not covert surveillance.

⚖️

Parental Authority

Parents set the rules. Children can request to unpair, but only parents can approve — keeping families in control.

🤖

On-Device AI

All intelligence runs locally. No data centres, no third-party AI APIs processing your child's voice.

The Story

My Digital Nanny was built by a parent of four from the UK — with a big age gap between the kids. That's where the problem started.

When you have teenagers and young children sharing the same household, streaming algorithms get confused. They see a mix of viewing habits and start serving up content that's fine for a 16-year-old but completely inappropriate for a 7-year-old. It never happened to us, but the worry was always there — and I couldn't find anything that would catch it if it did.

Every app I tried focused on blocking and screen time. None of them could actually listen. So I built one that could.

The second problem I found while researching was worse. The apps that did monitor messages had genuinely terrible reviews — not because they didn't work, but because parents could read their child's exact messages. Kids found out, trust was destroyed, and relationships were damaged. That's not a solution, that's a different problem.

So I built an AI layer in between. You get alerted to the subject and the concern — but not the exact words or sentences that triggered it. You know something needs a conversation, without having read your child's private messages to get there. It protects the relationship. It also dramatically cuts false positives, because the AI understands context rather than just matching keywords.
